Chapter 7 Bankruptcy

A liquidation of your assets, chapter 7 bankruptcy will allow you to remove your debt and get a fresh start. In order to qualify for chapter 7, you must pass a means test first. If you qualify, all of your qualified debts will be discharged, leaving you with a zero balance. You may be able to keep your home as well. You should be aware that some debts cannot be discharged under chapter 7, like student loans and taxes to name a few.

Chapter 13 Bankruptcy

Many of our clients would be able to keep up with their current home and car payments if they did not have to worry about their debts. If you are unable to keep up with your mounting debt, you may want to consider a reorganization through chapter 13 wager earner bankruptcy.

Chapter 13 bankruptcy will organize your debt into a payment plan you can afford. After your three to five year plan is finished, your remaining qualified debt will be discharged.
